The "F" Jack broke on my cable TV input. Help!?
I bought a screw connection of new and tried follow the instructions, but the image is still very fuzzy. Does anyone have good instructions or a good site to help me with this? Thank you.
Is the connector on the TV or cable IT final piece itself? If the cable end is poor, there are many options available. Radio Shack and tell them you need a crimp F (I hate these types of screws, were generally not very good). If the connector "F" on the TV is broken, may have a new installation. I usually charge 45 ~ 55.00, plus tax, depending on what I have to remove and replace the connector to be repaired (at least, a new "F" connector). EDIT: please do not over tighten the connector, which should be tightened by hand! Excessive tightening may damage the TV series "F" connector. http://www.interstateelectronics.com/howto/coaxterm.html Fantasy These tools are good, but I just used a sharp knife, and presses. You could with a good set of pliers. Do not look as pretty but it works well. The biggest thing you should notice is a ground (shield external) Director conductor.
