Earnings line output converter?
So I added a couple of submarines to my OEM head unit. If the profits of my converter line-out are all the way, this could contribute to my amp overheat? It's just a hunch, but I'm thinking this could be a reason for my amp overheats. – AMP: Kenwood KAC-9103D, 900×1 at 2 ohms – Subs: Kicker dual VR8, the 250W RMS, dual voice coil, 4 Ohms know I'm irresistible my subs, but my amplifier goes into protect mode if I push my subs too hard. In any case I would expect my subs to check out my amplifier. On another note, how much voltage should be sent through the RCA output on the converter to the inputs of my amp?
The maximum voltage should leave equal to the voltage that profits are set to amp. If the amplifier is set 100mV to 5V, then that is 1/10th volts to 5 volts. You must turn the amplifier gain and the way down converter. Turn the radio up to about 3 / 4 full. If the volume is too low, slowly turn the amplifier gain until as loud as you play it. If all goes the way and still not strong, turn the converter until it is. Once it starts distorting, return to it a notch.
