is it possible for a cellphone to work after it has been run through the washing machine?
I, like a dummy, accidentally washed my cellphone in a load of wash. The phone is drying out as we speak. I was just wondering what my chances are of it ever working again.

I, like a dummy, left my phone out on the porch during a thunderstorm. No, it wasn't hit by lightning, but it did get a good soaking. I took it to the store where I got it and asked the technician. He said that it is possible that the the phone could still be used, but you'd have to put it in a warm (not hot) dry place so that the parts can dry off. One thing definitely not to do is to turn it on when it is wet. You could get a shock, fry your phone, or both, but the second is more likely.
